Upcoming Schedule*:

Bucketball Start date:  01/10/2025-02/21/2025- practice and games will be on Friday evenings. First 2 weeks will be practices only, final 5 weeks will be games.

Kindergarten (InterCity):  Practices start the week of 11/18/2024 -one practice a week, location and day of week TBD. Games start 12/07/2024 and conclude by 02/15/2025. 

1st-6th Grade (Interlock): Practices start the week of 11/18/2024- location and day of the week TBD.

1st & 2nd grade practice once a week. 3rd grade and up will practice twice a week. Games start 12/07/2024 and conclude about 03/01/2025.

What size ball will my child need?

Bucketball size 3

Girls and Boys Kindergarten & 1st grade 27.5 size 5

Girls 2nd grade-6th grade 28.5 size 6

Boys 2nd grade-5th grade 28.5 size 6

Boys 6th grade 29.5 size 7

When will we receive our game schedules?

All game schedules come from NTYSA. Once we receive official game schedules, they will be uploaded into TeamSideline for easy viewing. If you have a family member or friend who is wanting access to the schedule, please use the NTYSA website for reference.

What should I bring to practice and games?

Please ensure your child has on athletic shoes and brings a water bottle. They should bring their ball to practice.

What is Bucketball?

Bucketball is basketball redesigned to target children aged 3½-5 (not in Kindergarten yet). It will teach the basics and fundamentals of playing basketball. They will practice and play on Friday nights. For rules, please go to: Bucketball Rules

Where will my child play their games?

Gym locations can be found here: NTYSA Basketball Gym Locations Gym names will also be listed on your schedule in TeamSideline and should also have the address. 

What color/side of the jersey does my child wear on game days?

Home games will the grey side and away games will be the red side. 

Where can I find the rules for my child’s division?

Can I bring food into the gyms on game day?

Code of Conduct & Zero Tolerance Policy

JYSA & NTYSA have a strict Code of Conduct and Zero Tolerance Policy when it comes to the abuse or mistreatment of referees. No coach, player, parent, or spectator can approach the referee in a negative manner during or after a game. If, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, this policy has been violated, the offending party will receive a one game suspension.
